Schools and Student Groups

Alexandria History Tours has worked with students of all ages. We have offered fun tours with kids in Middle School, American history tours for international exchange students, and Revolutionary War tours for college students.

Alexandria History Tours is committed to educating the next generation. We want kids to learn and understand American history through the lens of Alexandria. We highly recommend the Discover Alexandria tour as a good place to start. However, we can also offer our theme tours to include George Washington's Alexandria, the Revolutionary War tour, and Civil War tour.

Church and Faith Based Groups

With a large concentration of historic churches, Alexandria, Virginia is the perfect location to learn about American faith traditions. Most of our tours include stops at historic churches to include Christ Church Episcopal, the Basilica of St. Mary, and the Old Presbyterian Meeting House.

On a private group tour, we can take groups inside churches and provide a special experience to dive deeper into the history of each church.

Christ Church Episcopal was established before the Revolutionary War. George Washington's box pew is still inside the church. The Basilica of St. Mary is the first Catholic Church in Virginia and was founded by a Revolutionary War veteran in 1795. The Old Presbyterian Meeting House was founded in 1772 and contains a historic burial ground with the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier of the American Revolution.

Get in touch and take a group tour that is centered on historic churches and American religious traditions.
